Pros

Nice office space, with more floors of furniture than the other company. if you are into learning blame game, love chatting with different team about stuff unrelated to job and playing office politics and are 'native' than this is the company for you. However avoid if you are non native. You will more than likely be stressed out with overload and handling the office politics. There is a reason why you will only see women in the name of diversity but not non natives unless you are a contractor. And this kind of policy is an unspoken norm as i was surprised to hear certain things in meetings that i wouldn't normally hear in any other big Faangs. They have checkboxed certain policies.

Cons

Absolute garbage level of management layer. Project teams are unnecessarily bloated, just to beg for more funding for the next year. They have unqualified people handling projects that they have no idea about. They really need a proper re-structuring and have qualified people handling certain projects which they have prior experience in, not based on being 'native'. Its almost hilarious the chats that happen between the team members due to inexperience and a bloated manager who has no idea about the project that he is handling. Its like a puppet show

Pros

Employee benefits such as pension, time off and share plans.

Cons

Pay is below market rates for those who want to progress internally, often being offered a minimal increase whilst external applicants for the same role will be paid market rates. Doesn't promote loyalty. Leadership talk about digital first and automation on monthly listen live broadcasts yet all funding for automation projects is always pulled resulting in less staff and poorly implemented automation. Agile Product backlogs are product graveyards... IT architects don't seem to have any clue how the business works nor is their a cohesive strategy on automation, leaving it to individual business units to come up with ideas but then have to battle with IT to get anything approved. Often being told it's not part of the strategy but aren't forthcoming when asked what the strategy is. I think there's far too much ego, politics and covering ones behind rather than delivering anything, I mean look at the $$ blackhole that is Vector if you can get through the circled wagons. Not enough owning up to mistakes and being accountable. Doing the right thing is supposed to be a value but apart from those on the coal face I don't see it being done elsewhere, car park should be full of Del boy styled BMW and Audis.

Pros

No Pros anymore - Absolute horrific place to work. Unless you are in the club, then obviously its amazing. Cant even say the pay anymore since all sales bonuses cut for Managers

Cons

It is the most political environment I have ever known. It is a playground where bullying is tolerated and if you raise it, you are told to ‘put up and shut up’ East Division is rife with favouritism and people get given promotions based on how much you are liked and not based on your experience. Promised development in the way of assessments for 2 years and nothing has materialised. Probably because I am not in the club ... If you are thinking of joining Vodafone then don’t! For your own sanity and Mental Health. Unless you like being bullied, told to shut up and slated publicly.
