There is a serious problem in choosing the middle managers in IT departments, no technical or managerial background. Managers with poor people skills, which leads to ruining the whole team and project. They don’t protect their team. The company’s culture is all about escalation and negative politics. No collaboration between the different departments. 
No strategic planning for the future of the company or the goals of the various projects.
 Highly skilled employees are not appreciated or recognised for their work. Usually felt under-utilised, doing daily tasks not related to their expectations or competences. I saw very talented software engineers end up in endless useless meetings and prepare slides instead of developing. This company is a torture for IT professionals. If you are a software engineer, this company is not for you, no matters how much they offered.
