Non. Worked at Vodafone for 10 years. In that time it has turned into a pressure cooker. Unrealistic targets, focus areas change on a weekly basis. Divisional head a bully

Pros

Offices are very nice places to be due to facilities and furnishings, majority of people you work with are positive, great benefits packages including annual bonus and flexible benefit options, good holiday allowance at 28 days per year, longer if you've been there for 5 years+ Plenty of jobs available if you want to move around within the company Most teams have flexible working for at least 1 day per week

Cons

You will only go as far as your line manager permits you, in short the dept heads tend to take all the glory for your hard work instead of putting you in front of their peers to show what you can do/have done. Make sure you have a great relationship with your line manager, if not them move on. Some line managers are not interested/motivated to develop their staff, you have to push hard to get the breaks you need to progress. Too many chiefs means that there are sometimes conflicting priorities and/or too much work for too few people to achieve success.

Very few with the cost optimisation activities continually sapping employees morale New CEO man for the job wish him luck

Cons

Reward significantly behind that of the market Management slow to react to market changes Overly bureaucratic cuts not made at the centre always on sales service or network Tools not fit for purpose. Needs better focus on turnaround programmes to internally focussed remember customer value
