Pros

Good work life balance separate quota for annual leaves, sick leaves, casual leaves. ok ok salary hike

Cons

Office politics is high No technical managers, mostly outdated folks and not willing to listens to new generation people. Management not capable of dealing with onsite people and behaves egoistically being at receiving end. Micromanagement, even how to write emails to onsite / how to speak / not to say "yeah" "yeah" multiple times while on call with onsite (PS). Annual feedback is treated and discussed as just a number and it will not change anything. so Management not willing to change :(

Pros

On the surface it’s all smiles

Cons

If you are over 50 you are faced with being ousted out by any possible method they can concoct, as you don’t fit the 20-30 age bracket diversification model of this organisation. It’s recruitment model ensures a steady stream of cloned graduates who are cheap and plentiful that can be moulded into the Vodafone way; meaning experienced staff don’t mean a thing when they can have young cheap clones running around waving and smiling to make it look all new and shiny on the surface. This mandate comes from the leadership team who have no substance no support to make things better and pass over promotions to people who have been there years and made game changers with no recognition. Instead they see youth and media popular diversification being the banners that they wave, it’s all a sham.

Pros

- Good benefits such as Superannuation, Kiwisaver, discounts - Amenities at work such as breakfast, standing desks, etc - Culture and people are great and people try to help you as much as possible

Cons

- There's absolutely NO thought given to ANY kind of forward planning or preparation for the future. Everything is focussed on how do we make money in the next 3 months. This has led to countless projects that have been hamstrung to get them out in the shortest possible time...and the person who pays for the mess is the customer. - Management have the most unrealistic expectations of any company I've EVER worked with. Senior managers have never actually worked in positions where they've had to build products themselves (they've come from Finance or Marketing positions) and so they have no idea how long it takes to build something of quality. The pressure on teams is enormous and people give up weekends and nights trying to get crappy products out to market. - In Technology, due to some of the senior managers there's a culture of fear and domination. And if you challenge their bad decisions, you are seen as the problem why the project is not moving fast enough.
