Pros

its great to meet people, if you want to advance its good as they support you in certain roles such as fitness instructors, the centres are generally very well maintained and looked after.

Cons

I didn't get my uniform for 2 months, pay was low compared to other leisure operators, machines in the gym took a long time to fix and was outdated, i got the feeling when i worked there that they didnt want guys on reception, i offered to work on reception to help them out when they were short but shrugged away from it even though i have worked on reception at 3 other companies. no staff socials for everyone was a very specific group of people that went out every weekend.

Pros

Some nice employee benefits. Opportunities (though availability was fairly patchy) for learning and upskilling. As with most (from what I understand) Virgin companies, cultural focus on people.

Cons

Plenty of wishy washy motivational efforts. Lots of staff expectant of growth and promotion, but not necessarily contributing or producing much in the way of results.
