An overview of the culture at ground level

Pros

The commissions can be very rewarding and the company has some great Health and Fitness benefit schemes.

Cons

No work/life balance achievable if you wish to to earn those commissions. Verisure doesn't much care for its employees family/social lives. Most field employees swap stories of 10,12,16 hour work days (note the plural). Ruthless sacking of employees can be observed in all levels of field work, and directorate appear fully detached from the struggles of most field branches. Terrible attitude towards promotion and far too many managers with personal agendas sniping at the people beneath them (sometimes at the expense of their own team). Management should include training in employee welfare - instead it appears to institute a culture of elevated ego's and train people in writing termination letters.

Pros

I worked for the Brighton branch from January 2017 - July 2018, I met some fantastic people both colleagues and customers. The branch manager Michael was amazing, he was extremely supportive and involved in the day to day running of the branch. The company has some great ideas and there is potential for promotion early on.

Cons

The biggest problem with Verisure starts from the Territorial Managers and above, they have extremely unrealistic targets and attempt to force sales staff to follow a script of telling potential customers that they are from the marketing department and they want you to display their deterrent signs and there is no cost to you (there will be). They try to get you to stretch the truth about their service and change "special offers" on a day to day basis. You also have a teleclose department who will call you warm leads (company generated lead) 72 hours after the appointment, meaning majority of the sales staff begin to push too hard or even lie just to close the sale there and then! I absolutely loved my job as a Team Leader, but I could for see the negative changes Verisure was making and decided to leave. I truly believe the senior managers are just too stubborn to change their ways, no one can be this blind about what's happening! I'm surprised the shareholders aren't asking more questions!
