Pros

- Great unifying mandate - Vast field presence doing very interesting work - Opportunity to affect change on a large scale

Cons

- A great organisation resting on the laurels of its past performance and unifying mandate - Managers make decisions that lack of transparency and can be authoritarian - Lack of merit-based hiring practices and deeply entrenched systems of favoritism.

Pros

I served at both large and small funded country offices in Asia. For small office, I was fully designated to plan, implement and monitor all component of WASH project so that I could have develop and increase my managerial skills and technical capacity to carry out the overall projects to meet organizational mandate and goal.

Cons

For large office, I had to follow all the bureaucratic procedure and the things moved slowly.
