Pros

Great mandate, many nice people, good salary

Cons

Very bad treatment of people internally. Extremely hierarchical. Terrible contract situation. A lot of bullying between colleagues. Very disrespectful towards many of its employees, especially those on consultancy or short term contracts.

Pros

they pay above market people are nice usually and there is diversity (you really can be who you really are)

Cons

very beurocratic, there is no such thing as "it makes sense" there is rather "it's in the rules" and the rules cannot be changed. I was a local staff member and there is a clear distinction from people who are "international professionals" - their word is much more valuable than that of the "locals" I admire what UNICEF does as an organization but as an employee it was not a good experience (worked at the GSSC)
