Pros

UBS is always changing sometimes the changes are good. Work flexibility for now seems to be a pro for working at UBS.

Cons

Pay not very competitive especially for committed employees. Its almost like UBS does not want to keep their employees and would prefer they leave and go work some place else. UBS does not Pay well. Benefits are average.

Pros

No reasons apart from the salary they offer. Rest are only cons. <Had to write something to complete 20 words>

Cons

Completely old school people leading teams. Have no idea of new technology and practices. Expect junior to do things the same way they have been doing. No processes in place in most of projects. Damn expensive food for the amount and quality. Poorly built office interiors. Lockers are far away from desks. Zero recreational options. Located in middle of nowhere with a Jail in front and a mental hospital besides. They probably recruit senior folks from there.

Pros

The benefits, PTO Balance and 401 K contribution are overall good. That is about it!

Cons

If you get stuck with a bad manager that is not flexible you may not be allowed to use some of the company benefits that are "promised and sold" at the interview (such as the hybrid schedule) and you have to come in 5 days a week like a little child even if there is no one around . I would often come to the office where I was alone for most of the day in the entire floor and not one person would walk by so the hybrid thing works great for some and for others it doesn't its ridiculous! If you come from a modern company their culture will shock you, a lot of the upper management individuals are older gentleman/generation who have a very old mentality and inadequate ways of conducting work so that sucks for the newer generations. HR is basically a robot machine, and you can't talk to a person never there is basically zero human touch. Lastly, there are a lot of rude & grumpy employees (specially the older ones) and overall the culture of rudeness is totally normalized & ignored, kind of toxic.
