Pros

Generally good rep with other techies, lots of great minds that best stand out without thoughtworks branding

Cons

Be prepared to be constantly chasing to show off and “improve” yourself. Very easy to get stuck in a specialisation. Dont be shocked by unfair treatment under two faced teammates and managers who rave on positivity and awards

Dead company walking

Pros

The people at Thoughtworks are mostly wonderful.

Cons

The middle management present in most other companies is non existent: so you have to be very self directed. You are expected to work a full billable week for your clients, and then do the Thoughtworks required overhead in your own time. Given that lack of middle management, this can be quite a lot of extra work. There is no real growth ladder outlined for staff members: you are pretty much on your own. The culture of the company is changing: work that they wouldn't have done in previous years due to moral issues is now being accepted.

Pros

1. Remote flexibility was there. 2. Great teammates.

Cons

1. They forced everyone to return back to office and threatened to terminate employees. 2. Layoffs happening even with repeated assurance that it won't be done. 3. Poor pay. 4. With recent layoffs, managers have become toxic and are asking employees to work even on weekends to meet some arbitrary deadlines. 5. Bad work life balance.
