Pros

Nothing good anymore. Used to be a great company I have seen them unfairly fire over 20 longtime leaders over the last several years because they were older and made a lot of money.

Cons

They set you up when they want to get rid of you after you make too much money

Pros

Great Discounts and friendly co-workers.

Cons

Total lack of understanding in needs of staffing and employees. The phrase "Expect more and Pay Less" refers to employees. Looked for advancement, with college degree and experience, but overlooked continuously for younger individuals.

Pros

-Target Corp as a name is a good resume-builder -If you don't like sitting at a desk (or sitting ever for that matter) this is for you -If you are easily distracted and do not like to engage in anything that takes longer than 3 minutes, this is for you

Cons

Working at Target is everything I didn't want in a job. First, do not even bother reading the job description they give you as an ETL because it couldn't do a poorer job of describing what you'll actually be doing. What will you ACTUALLY be doing? Here's what I spent 80-85% of my time doing working as an "executive" at Target: -Walking in laps around the store -Asking customers "Can I Help You Find Something?" -Throwing away trash into the compactor (only executive-level employees can operate the compactor... this is what I needed my college education for) -Cleaning up human feces in the bathroom -Writing "developmental plans" for people who had no desire to move anywhere within the company -Hating my life. You will work 11 hour days minimum. You will never get in after 7 am except the one day a week you will come in at 3 pm and work until 3 am. You will work every other weekend and EVERY WEEKEND during 4th quarter. If these are things you would want, that's fine. But if you read the description of what they SAY you'll be doing you'll realize it really is a blatant lie. Target knows they couldn't get college grads to work this incredibly SHITTY job unless they glamorized it to be something it isn't. P.S... you don't even need a high school education to be an ETL at Target. A child, miniature horse, or inflatable doll probably could have done my job. Also, you will have zero to no relationships with your co-workers outside of work. Social events are so discouraged, it's pathetic. Target ends up being a sad, loveless, friendless, stick-in-the-ass place to work.
