Pros

Very stable company with a real care paid to their employees, canteen, insurance, perks, benefits, it is the typical company where you could spend the rest of your working life in.

Cons

Hard to enhance and move ahead in your career, salaries are not very motivating, variable part of your salary package only in small part depends on your results

Pros

They have great benefits. There are some areas of Sandvik that are better to work than others if they have good leadership.

Cons

Controllers are expected to work on multiple projects with short deadlines without regard to workload or staffing, which makes it difficult to take time off. Company is focused on lean management and keeping headcount low making it difficult to hire employees. This results in a horrible work/life balance. Compensation is below the national average. The U.S. holding office is currently experiencing extreme staff turnover due to relocating. IT and HR support is poor. Innovation and customer service are not priorities although these are core values. The only core value emulated is the "passion to win" at all costs, including the health of employees. Leadership is toxic at some offices where employees suffer in toxic, abusive, ageist, sexist environments.

Pros

good starting vacation, 401k, no expected OT for salary, opportunity to travel

Cons

Good luck making an impact. Innovation is punished. Keep your head down. Don't speak up. The management layer accepts no input of any kind from anyone. The place is terminally over-managed but there are no leaders. There are 15+ management positions overseeing only ~110 employees. That level of overhead is not sustainable. Production volume is being sent overseas.
