Pros

Benefits are top notch Sales tactics and strategies are great for growth even as an experienced rep

Cons

I initially came into the role with great enthusiasm, hoping to gain a valuable education in sales. However, in order to survive in this role, one must be prepared to sacrifice everything. In order to succeed, there are several factors that must be managed with ease, including countless activities (i.e. making many calls), never ending enablements, opportunity rigor (i.e. updating numerous fields), pipeline (i.e. generating aspirational pipeline in a challenging territory), prep meetings, team selling, and managing your time effectively. The work/life balance is horrible, be ready to work 11-12 hours a day. The company's "Ohana" culture is not as familial as it appears, instead it's an extremely competitive and high-pressure environment. Despite this, there is still a lot to be learned in this role, although it may come at the cost of your self confidence and sanity . Furthermore only a low % of AEs meet their annual quotas so take this into account when you consider the ote. For the customer facing roles they want us back in the office 3days a week, they choose which days, and this might soon change to 4 days a week.

Pros

The short-lived good feeling you get in the beginning when you first get hired before you discover the truth.

Cons

It's a shame that Glassdoor doesn't do a better job of filtering out fake reviews. A majority of reviews on here for Salesforce are fake, written by bots, and created by Salesforce themselves. In reality, this is an absolutely horrible place to work. You will be thrown into a meat grinder with unrealistic expectations pushed on you, and virtually no training or guidance when you start. You'll realize in a few short weeks that coming to this company was the absolute worst decision you've ever made in your life, and that reading reviews on this website are causing people to destroy their lives by coming to this company. It's all an illusion. The culture is horrible and toxic. You'll be chewed up and spit out without remorse. DO NOT COME TO THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS!!!

Pros

- Great benefits - Good training - Excellent at Marketing and Branding - Excellent at virtue signaling.

Cons

- Narcissistic CEO - everything is about him and his ego, full of yes men around him - Political minefield - lots of virtue signaling but watch what people do, not what they say - Old, 25 year old technology with a "lipstick on a pig" marketing. - The solution to every problem is more slides, more marketing and branding and no real effort is done to tackle real issues - Zero innovation. Every single decent feature is acquired. The company has spend $50B to acquire $3B in recurring revenue, should tell you something - Organizational mess - every few days they will acquire someone and the whole organization will be spun upside down with some new message from Marc - Most narcis
