Pros

I love Salesforce and think it is a great company. I have a huge amount of respect for Marc and what he has built from both a technology standpoint as well as the 1-1-1 and the culture of giving back.

Cons

The Oracle old boys club is VERY well established here. Concerns about inappropriate actions in the workplace and specific leaders creating a hostile work environment are passed along to a 1st year employee success (HR) person to "review." Upon review, it is always assumed that the employee was just being "coached." Even with concerns about harassing male/female relationships - "well, he didn't really do anything physical......" Completely inappropriate.

Pros

The snacks are pretty good and they don't care if you just grocery shop. Literally, people putting like ten things in their backpack at the end of the day.

Cons

Marc Benioff is a joke. He's smart in some areas but completely oblivous to what is actually equal. Trust is NOT a core value, but they sure like to talk about it a lot. Salesforce core values are a joke. There is NO equality here. It's all about favoritism and who you know. They love to go around the room and say "how are you feeling today?"....<---no one cares. My manager talks about my colleagues all of the time in our 1:1 meetings. I honestly don't even know how she's a manager. She loves to brag about herself and how she got here, and most people have more years of experience than her. I hate it here. Everyone hates it. I can't wait to just see all of their best employees leave at the same time.

Pros

You learn a lot about consultative selling and SaaS. It's not negative to have on your CV. Work life balance seems okay.

Cons

Poor leadership incl. lies about future possibilities. Limited to no promotion opportunities. (Plus be aware that they can keep you in a role for 3 months after you promote and that you can only promote quarterly, meaning they will potentially extend your role with 6 months). They won't pay for your phone and/ or bill (your job is literally to call prospects all day) You don't experience that trust is their #1 core value when on the floor. In fact transparency is expected from you but not reciprocated. Salary is at best on par with similar companies, not leading. A part of their strategy is to hire overqualified people with the promise of future opportunities without intending to fulfill that for everyone i.e., everyone was told the same. No lunch opportunities (Ireland in Dublin), this means you have to buy your own food at high cost and spend a lot of time retrieving it (or prepare home cooked meals). No carrot, all stick. Don't expect events even on team basis. There are no money for that anymore. However, there is still a high level of scrutiny on your daily activities and a high level of micro management. I.e., to downsides. The managers are not experienced and lack skills for motivation. They seem more like they are there for forecasting and hiring purposes when people leave. No apparent culture probably due to too quick growth.
