Pros

- Benefits are great!!! - Reputation is strong, although not for Advisory - Professional (alum) network is well perceived - Great place to start your career - If you get a strong Coach and a Partner who cares for his people, it can be a great place to build your skills.

Cons

* The Advisory annual review process has all the issues of the very large consulting firm, even through the advisory piece of the business is nowhere near as large as their competitors * The salary compensation for Managers does not come close to justifying the restrictions they impose due to being a regulated industry. This would likely be better if it was a practice with the breadth and scope of firms like DT * Other than good benefits, there are no perks at this place. You even have to pay for your own lunches when you are out of town

Pros

Great opportunity to meet different people with various experiences. For the most part, people are hard working. Due to working long hours, there is a flexibility in schedule available.

Cons

Not enough resources. if you don't work directly with a partner or manager, you don't grow and no coaching. It can get tiring after while. The engagements you are on can make a significant difference. Some are good some are awful. The best are selected based on who they work for and how well trained they are. I have met some best rated people that are truly exceptional, but the firm invests in them and then I meet people with potential but are not even given the opportunity.

Pros

Having PwC on your resume looks great. Having worked a few years for PwC is enough to get you that big job you have dreamed of. You will however have to give up a lot to get to that place. The question you have to ask yourself when considering PwC is: how far am I willing to go to be successful?

Cons

There is a tendency, at management level, to take credit for all the work that the seniors and associates do. The managers ends up getting a big bonus while the seniors get a pat on the back and a good appraisal. Management should know by now that the world that we live in has changed. Prices keep increasing. The world we live in revolves about money. A pat on the back is nice, but by far not good enough to reward staff.
