Pros

The company pays decent and offers a great benefits package. Travel was a great perk as well.

Cons

Departments needs a strong leader to provide astute direction. Indecisive and incompetent departmental management. Abuse of power and Immature tactics used by departmental management. Management continually failed to create an accurate time line calender. In brief, Management failed to Manage and more importantly lead and drive the brand and product into the proper market as needed. .

Pros

Average employees are great. They work hard, they play hard, and are fun to be around. There are lots of little perks that are good to haves - and things like early summer fridays are very generous.

Cons

First things first, compensation at PUMA is poor. Base is lower than competitors, bonuses are meager and raises dont even keep up with inflation. Second, too much favoritism. Spouses direct managing their significant others, GF managing BF, Friends promoting friends and passing over more qualified people they are not as close with. Being in with the right crowd is the best way to get ahead at PUMA.

Pros

Great work/life balance. Fun industry. The Herzo (German) office is very international, and it's great to work with people from around the world. Good opportunity to travel. They invest in fun collabs & influencers, which always makes projects a bit more fun.

Cons

Low pay relative to Adidas, Nike & Converse (both in the German & Boston offices). Not very progressive in terms of social causes, no ERG's for minorities. (In the past they shot down projects like Pride due to "lack of ROI", which is a problematic POV on multiple levels & makes one question the authenticity behind recent attempts at Pride). Boston Marketing team is predominately white Bostonians who don't understand the sneaker industry or black culture. There was a fair amount of nepotism & inter-couple favoritism that was overlooked due to higher-ups being buddies with HR. There was no safe way of reporting bullying & inappropriate behavior - little trust in HR to listen or do anything. Overall, almost a Mean Girls cliquey vibe in the office.

Thank you for your feedback. All feedback from employees of the past or present is important for PUMA to not only hear, but to take into account as we shape our culture and workplace environment. This summer, PUMA North America communicated to all employees a comprehensive D&I strategy, including the launch of its first ERG. We are excited to continue focusing on this meaningful work to ensure all of our employees know our commitment to diversity and inclusion topics both in and out of the workplace.
