      Pros

      To quote Conway's law: "Any organization that designs a system (defined broadly) will produce a design whose structure is a copy of the organization's communication structure." Octopus Energy produces amazing software which is a reflection of how good the company culture is. Great code, great coworkers, great managers.

      Cons

      Company is growing very fast - which isn't really a con but I really hope it keeps its shape and vision.

      Relaxed environment with crazy growth

      Relaxed environment Flexible work hours and location (I've been mostly working from home) Nice and understandable team leads (at least on the front-end team) Most projects don't have hard deadlines The codebase is changing for better

      Cons

      The massive code base focused on back-end devs slows front-end devs down (it's slowly changing) Groth pains (project/product management is subpar sometimes, a few times unplanned projects get in the way causing some bad times)
