DO NOT APPLY TO WORK AT THIS COMPANY!

Pros

Great access to cool events and great clientele. Place to fast-track into the PR space. Nothing more to add to add because it was not great.

Cons

- The ENTIRE executive team is a bunch of snobs, with terrible personalities. - The President, Nina is very disconnected and she's also VERY dry. - Poor work/life balance I know people see these post and think that people who write these are just bitter former employees but I strongly urge you look at the comments here and get an ear to the street. This company's internal structure is unethical and it is by far one of the worst places I've worked.

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience while you were working with us. I would really like to speak with you more to understand what could have been done differently on our end and especially discuss with you the concerns you have about the ethics of our internal structure. This is a serious accusation and not one I take lightly. Please feel free to send me an email at cplotts@nikecomm.com with any additional details you feel comfortable sharing.

BEWARE! Great clients but not great people or environment

Pros

-Agency has a lot of great clients in the spirits and lifestyle industry and traveling for events was a nice part of the job.

Cons

Beware if you are going on an interview here! They will try sell with the great clients they have and tell you your job will be tough but wonderful at the same time, don't believe it. You will work an exhaustive amount of hours for not a great salary plus the benefits are almost non-existent - aka you don't even get a real vacation until your 1st anniversary. Upper management here has unreal expectations of when emails should be responded to and get ready to never have a break or be able to take a day for the rest of your life if you take a job here. Overall, the environment was really negative and the office space did not foster creativity or a real teamwork environment as many people are very catty and form cliques to talk about the people they don't like in the office instead of trying to forge positive relationships. Recommend looking at other agencies that treat their employees as though they actualy value them.

Pros

Great place to learn PR basics. Super fast paced. Good for getting thick skin if you don't already have it (you'll definitely need it at this place).

Cons

No work life balance. Prepare to be at the office until the end of time everyday and even on summer Friday's (and don't worry you'll be working from home on weekends). If you're not staying there until 9PM everyday or arriving at 6AM you're not "committed." Even if you leave early you'll be answering emails until 1AM and on weekends. Nasty employees who get a kick out of demeaning you and embarrassing you in front of your peers when you make a mistake. Unrealistic deadlines is a MAJOR issue. The micromanaging is UNREAL here (even a thank you email needs to be "approved"). A very cookie cutter agency with NO DIVERSITY. As a result, true creativity and originality is hard to find here. Employees are boring with no spunk. If you're not a trust fund baby from Connecticut and wear boat shoes everyday prepared to be completely excluded from team activities and the agency as a whole. The owner is a cocky, condescending older woman who runs her agency like we're living in the 1800's. The computers are old and clunky. No office perks- don't expect to come home with anything like at most agencies-- here you give your soul in exchange for NOTHING. Filthy office and kitchen supplies, heinous dated decor and an office filled with the most ungrateful supervisors and president.
