People who manage up well get away with talking big but not contributing anything tangible, while others are held behind the scenes and do all the dirty work and get little credit. difficult to make things happen, need everyone's buy in, managers shoot down ideas that are not their own to avoid making it look like people beneath them have better ideas than them. VP of Ecommerce has no sense of reality. Poor communicator, horrible people skills, nobody wants to work for him. Doesn't understand Ecommerce and barks at people to chase down his scrambled and ill advised thoughts that incoherently do not connect to a strategy.
