Pros

Beaverton campus, 40% product discount

Cons

Senior leadership has lost the locker room, the past 2 years have been a downward trend. They announced a layoff right before Christmas then left everyone twisting in the wind for 4 months. There is no strategy to resurrect the brand which is no longer cool.

Pros

Nice, smart people in your every day work,

Cons

Revolving door in leadership, constant reorganizing, strategic direction is inconsistent year over year, company only cares for baseline and not innovation, complete de-valuing of culture and people's worth, no more remote or hybrid.

Pros

Nike's business is strong and continues to grow. The campus in Oregon is beautiful and full of great amenities. There is a large technology organization, and some teams are building interesting solutions to solve very large scale problems. You get to see and attend events with sponsored athletes on campus. Summer Hours are nice, where the office closes at noon on Fridays. Pay is competitive for some technology professionals, but pay is not always equitable across the org.

Cons

Nike has been undergoing a reorg for over a year, and the roll out of those changes in Global Technology has been delayed again and again. Good engineers are leaving the company. There is a cloud of uncertainty due to the reorg, and many leaders won't make any decisions until it is done. New CDIO is pushing rapidly to outsource IT to his favorite vendors and send work to India and Poland. I don't think this will go well for Nike, which traditionally has been a face-to-face meeting company. It doesn't always write down requirements, so getting engineers across the world to do this work could go slower or cause quality issues. Promotions basically have been stalled for years. Backfills take forever to get approved, and even then sometimes they are denied or taken away from teams.
