Pros

People seems to be nice.

Cons

The engineering leadership has fair management skills, but they lack technical skills and up-to-date knowledges. They think they are building state-of-art products, but, in fact, they are just fooling those idiot executives. The smokeless political battles from certain groups of people are driving away real talents and squeezing the spaces for others.

I'm sorry it sounds like you had a bad experience. From my perspective, the project I am working on is for sure state of the art. Our team is working with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm. We are building on top of these new technologies to build a globally scalable platform for our customer's apps. Day to day I am involved in all parts of the project - from planning the work stream (we are currently using Kanban), to collaborating with other teams on common APIs, to writing code which will run on 1000's of machines. Additionally, in my opinion, it's the engineer's role to understand and communicate the complexities of choosing between different engineering solutions, not the exec's. And I know which role I would rather have :P

Pros

- Great product portfolio and very interesting technology - Good engineering practices - Fast paced environment with just right processes in place - Great management team with strong technical background - Highly skilled staff across all the functions - Engineering, PM, Services and Support - Great commitment to transparency and company values - High bar for hiring and great talent team

Cons

- because of the high bar, hiring take a bit longer but lot of efforts are being put to streamline this and results are showing

Pros

The quality of the people here is so high - it is motivating to work with such nice, driven people Great office, perks (healthy lunch twice a week!), happy hours! Everyone is super duper friendly and really helpful if you need help I feel like Management actually cares about getting me to where I want in my career - they're hands on in a good way It's easy to buy in and drink the koolaid when everyone is so thrilled about making the company successful Great training

Cons

Long hours, always something else that needs to be done Hard to "come up for air" at times Company culture creates sense of obligation that I should stay and work late Not dog friendly Too many meetings, which is made worse by the fact that people never get out of conference rooms in time
