Pros
Shift work allows for longer weekends. Nice benefits package and reasonable timeoff allocations. Opportunity for advancing education. Opportunity for promotion from within. Internal classes to further a person's abilities, skills, and knowledge. Onsite health clinic and work out facility. Working for a large employer typically gives employees a sense of security.
Cons
Disparity of allocation of bonuses between higher level management and the production line workforce. Offshoring production facilities leads to reduction in stateside employment opportunties. Does not give employees much sense of a longterm employment opportunity, so employees see this company more as a launching point not a career employer.
