      Good place to work, stable, good pay, but it's hard to climb the corporate ladder

      Pros

      They usually pay above average, relative to others in the industry. There is not too many turnover and the job is stable. It's a good place to work if one decides to settle down. The co-workers are great and friendly.

      Cons

      The company is big, so there will be some politics involved which may not seem fair to everyone involved. For example, they will promote team members or managers whom the senior management knows well, not based on their domain familiarity or management expertise.

      Pros

      Good shift schedule - 3/4 days a week only plus rotation Relatively good pay though Metro DC is an expensive place to live Nice location - you can go to DC anytime. Maryland and West Virginia is w/in driving distance Good health benefits

      Cons

      I can go on forever but let me mention a few highlights - shift 'engineering' work is more like process technician work - cafeteria food will give you a heart attack - trainings focus more on safety issues rather than more important ones e.g. experimental design - facilities, such as computers, are very limited.
