      Pros

      Selective groups of team members are a delight to work with. There's an innate intelligence with certain group of colleagues. Team spirit can be at times uplifting. Flexible in work arrangements.

      Cons

      Can be flaky with certain team members with all talk but not taking actions. Takes emails too seriously and might misread words emotionally. Never heard that a written paragraph could emote tonality but somehow at times it was treated with aggression. Lacking empathy, employees mimicking their superiors' behaviour. Beginning to use phrases like "the boss....". BIGGest problem now, do not own up to issues and only think for themselves. Bad etiquette. Professes a "not my problem" attitude.

      Okay company in an okay place

      Pros

      The work can be fairly fast paced. I'm frequently working on several designs simultaneously. There are a lot of opportunities for growth, or working in other departments.

      Cons

      Historically this company has had frequent, large, layoffs although that has gotten better over the last two years. You never know in this industry when the next one is going to hit however. Information is passed through tribal knowledge more than anything. The management can be quite disorganized. They have a sink or swim attitude towards new hires.

      Flexible work hours, good pay, decent benefits, smart people

      Cons

      Some managers lack experience with the technology they are managing. Performance is metric driven. Managers of some groups have poor people skills.
