      A great place to start and discover

      Pros

      It allows flexibility, moving from one role to the other. They may take time to react but by insisting, something can be achieved (pay rise, mobility etc). It is a great place to meet new people since diversity is part of the culture. Opportunities can be great too but those have to be sought. By proving ones qualities or motivation, the company recognise leader and act consequently.

      Cons

      Just no job security whatsoever - one shall not keep that in mind during an assignment but I have seen just ugly things happening, but this is changing for the better. The current financial situation has great consequences on temp. staff for instance.

      Pros

      The pay and benefits were pretty good. I enjoyed working with most of the people there. Management allowed me a lot of freedom and ability to make my own decisions in doing my job - maybe a little too much as detailed below. I had heard horror stories from people who were working for other recruitment or staffing firms, so I was a bit hesitant to accept a position with Manpower, but for the most part, Manpower is a decent company to work for. They treat their (staff) employees respectfully and fairly. It is a global company and is somewhat respected in the industry.

      Cons

      Management can be too hands off at times, I felt like I was going it alone for the most part...not much feedback on performance, either positive or negative. The company seems to be going through a rough patch at the moment, experiencing some downsizing because of the current job market. Communications from HQ are also few and far between, maybe a state of the company email every quarter and that's it, employee morale is low right now, a lot of people are worried about their jobs as we've heard some offices have already been downsized or closed all together.
