Pros

Free gym membership Good people do great work

Cons

CEO is a micromanager and egomaniac. He’s obsessed with control and it shows up daily. Most decisions are to make him happy regardless of whether or not we know his orders are a good idea or bad idea. Many proposals or requests have to go directly through him. No strategic leadership. No one is on the same page because the CEO changes his mind every week on what he wants. Company supposedly focused on a “culture of care”, yet, we are forced to go back into the office for the reason that “we are an office culture”. What does that mean? Health-based company offers awful health insurance. Low pay in comparison to most similar-sized companies. Executives and upper management are mostly men. Most are out of touch and really don’t even pretend to care. Nepotism and favoritism is rampant at HQ. Crazy that some of these people are put in places or power with no skill whatsoever. CEO always mentions how he doesn’t like entitlement - how is nepotism not sure entitlement?

Pros

Free gym membership, free parking, decent vacation time

Cons

Toxic culture/environment - constant swearing by all, including leadership, if something doesn't get done there is a threat "This is going to cost someone's job if we don't get this done", management talking bad about other leadership or employees. Benefits - the benefits are the worse I have ever seen, no guaranteed 401k match, poor health rates and plans, no bonuses Flexibility - work life balance isn't great, people work on days off, you will get emails on weekends and late at night - people always are working, not flexible with working remote Location/building - not a great location unless you live really far west, the buildings are super old too unless you are in corporate office 1 Training - no funding for training or ongoing certifications Leadership direction is lacking, no one knows what is next, there is a heavy focus on appearance and "being fit" - those people tend to move up quickly....

Pros

Loved my clients, some of my coworkers became my closest friends. Convenient location.

Cons

I was at lifetime for nearly two years. The pay was awful— you had to pay back the company what you earned in Commission. I was full time, but after this past September, I took a 3 day vacation, my status changed to “part-time” in the system so I lost all of my benefits and PTO I had accrued. I was trying to get it changed for so long, but it never happened. So I asked if I could actually go part-time in March and was denied. So that’s when I stopped caring. For 5 months, I was working my butt off full time and never received any benefits. How can that be legal!!! I even brought it up to corporate and HR and nothing had changed. Life Time does not Care at all about their employees. They just view you as a dollar sign. And the general manager most certainly does not care, although he highly claimed that he does. I had to work endless hours- 12 hour shifts most days just to make ends meet. And even then, I was still struggling.
