Cons

Everything else about working here is a con. If you want to work for a company driven by GREED and AVARICE with NO moral compass and ZERO regards to their employees and their well-being... then this is the place for you. But be warned: it will destroy your health (mental, physical, emotional) and potentially even your relationships (family, romantic partners, kids, etc.) Starting with the CEO, this company exudes TOXICITY. The CEO constantly makes highly inappropriate and offensive comments on calls. The entire executive "leadership" only care about filling their pockets and raising the stock price...even if it comes at the expense of human beings. Employees are OVERWORKED and UNDERPAID. The benefits are HORRIBLE and so expensive. Not to mention that bullying and sexual harassment is allowed in the clubs... in fact, most of the "talent" this company attracts are bullies and micromanagers who will make your life miserable. You will need YEARS of therapy after working here. It will also make you physically sick over time. Example of how horrible and toxic the company is: 1) managers don't get in trouble for sleeping with members and even sending unsolicited nude pictures, 2) managers don't get in trouble for sleeping with their direct reports... even though this is so problematic in so many ways, 3) executive managers are allowed to have relationships with people they manage and give them preferential treatment (ex. they pay them significantly more just because they're sleeping with them), 4) sexual harassment complaints are not taken seriously by management or HR. Any manager/employee taking part in inappropriate and immoral behavior is protected and their job is never in jeopardy. Any employee or manager who stands up for what's right, immediately gets in trouble and even fired sometimes. Understand that to be here, you cannot have any values, a sense of what's right and wrong, or be a decent human being. Avoid this company like it's the plague... because it truly is a plague. It's the epitome of a toxic work culture and greed. I would even describe their workplace as abusive... because often times, there's plenty of psychological/emotional abuse, as well as overworking employees and underpaying them (sometimes not even paying them at all for overtime worked!). The goals and standards they measure you against are IMPOSSIBLE. You will have your soul sucked out of you and then will be replaced in seconds when you're no longer beneficial to them or bringing in enough money. If I could give them zero stars, I most definitely will.

Pros

You get a gym pass but will rarely have time to partake.

Cons

The PTO IS ONLY FIVE DAYS PER YEAR. 7 day work weeks are the norm for this role. Even when you are off the clock you are on call. 60+hr work weeks are typical. The role pays $70 - $80k. They boast about diversity and inclusion but they always want you to be on their brand which means chug the koolaide. Also nearly all managers are white mostly male. They have a value that is “lead from the front” this essentially means spend 90% of your time on the floor cleaning and micromanaging your team. Super high attrition because work life balance is terrible for everyone and hourly employees get paid peanuts. This is the right role for someone that is interested in being in high stress situations and has 100% availability with no time outside of work. It takes 10+ years of working with them to earn a two weeks paid vacation. They are open every holiday and managers are expected to be there.

Pros

free membership, small discount on services/food/training, etc

Cons

LT is the most isolating job I've ever had. Everyone keeps to themselves, expect for the constant meetings that are scheduled. It is also the most passive/aggressive professional workplace, and definitely not collaborative. You want to talk to your manager? They'll tell you to book time on their calendar. Good luck finding time with all the meetings that will work out before the end of the week. Then all of a sudden a meeting will pop up on your calendar-- with little context that you should be prepared for. They'll call you out in a meeting in front of executives to make themselves look better and you look like the idiot. If you need to get something done, you need to block your own calendar or you'll never get anything done. No one actually talks, they just schedule meetings in big conference rooms. No one eats lunch together, no one goes to the cafe, no one has coffee in the breakroom. They stay at their desks. All day, unless they need more water or to go to the bathroom, or another meeting. Everyone eats at their desks, with their ear pods in, wearing their LT branded workout gear and tennis shoes. It it very lonely, and not the vibrant, innovative work environment I envisioned in beginning my career.
