It's a professional setting, has horizontal and vertical opportunities, and scheduling is generally flexible. For retail, the work is fulfilling and quality performance requires a dedication to learning

Cons

Corporate leaders are moving toward more quantitative measures of performance, which may intimidate some people. My experience is that company policies and perks are becoming tightening. It can be difficult to learn about the industry because different employees can have different levels of education and experience, and interests in the company
