Cons

THE LACK OF MANAGEMENT SKILL!!! I was hired without having an interview they literally just hired people to fill the roles. And I was hired a week I pulled my manager aside and asked when will I be trained she said oh we’ll work on it 2 weeks pass still have not been trained keep in mind lens crafters pos system isn’t anything you can learn all in one day. It’s very tedious nonetheless fast forward I’ve been there a month. One of my coworkers tells me oh did you know that the previous people who were hired quit due to lack of training and poor management. I was in shock and told my manager please train me. And she kept brushing it off. Me not getting trained felt like I didn’t have the tools I needed to succeed within the company. Not just that but the other associate don’t try and help train you they are just no help and try to belittle you. Not only that but for managers all they care about is making the sale goals and don’t care about preparing their new hire or even set them on the road to success. For instance when the story was busy and they had no sale associate they make me ring up and I’d hit them with I haven’t been trained and they’d go off on me like how is that any of my fault.

Pros

Quarterly associate sales and a free pair of glasses annually.

Cons

Managers are not given the tools or payroll necessary to provide customer service and complete all tasks. No help or guidance is given from the regional level when a store level manager asks for it. Company has a decent PTO rate but there’s rarely enough coverage for managers to take sick or vacation time; on most occasions regionals will ask you to postpone and before you know it your PTO has expired. Very little work life balance because of so many calls that have to be taken short notice youll wind up often working on days off. Far too much work (and stress) for far too little pay. Not at all worth it.
