Pay is VERY low for optical. They try to off set if with their benefits but for one, their benefits are not that great. Two, they are cutting back to have very few full timers who would even get benefits. No training. I wish I was kidding but I'm not. Most employees on day two are helping customers and almost all employees hired have no optical background. You cannot have a life and work there even at a causal time status. If you want to work there you have to work when they want how much they want and if you can't, they let you go. They end all their emails with #people matter, but it's only a tag slogan. They don't mean it. If they did they wouldn't keep lowering commission every year. All they care about is the bottom line. Now they can put glasses out with scratches on them as long as they think customers won't notice. This is company with no integrity. Would never recommend.

There's not a whole lot of room for growth. It was also very upsetting when the commission structure was changed. Over the years, it's been on a downhill trend. Every time requirements change, we are given less and less.
