Pros
This position would be an ideal opportunity for a college student to consider. The total pay (base+commission+spiffs) compares favorably to most other retail outlets. After each yearly anniversary everybody is awarded a free pair of glasses. The coworkers and store management team was incredibly friendly and responsive to the needs of their front line associates. There is a considerable amount of flexibility in the scheduling for a part-time employee. Overall, it was enjoyable to interact and converse with the customers while simultaneously meeting their needs through our products and services.
Cons
The equipment in both the lab and the point of sale systems malfunction far too often, which is extremely frustrating to employees and customers alike. It seems there are never enough hours allocated to the store management team to properly meet some very high expectations.
