Terrible place

Pros

Their technically is really great

Cons

They will not pay you how you enough for all the work they expect you to do. They will tell you you are working up to a promotion for years only to hire outside people with no experience for all positions. The commission is terrible and management does not care that you are working overtime every week getting paid $10 an hour for a management position.

Pros

The ability to learn a skill. Working in non-licensed states is pretty easy.

Cons

Regional managers don’t know what they’re doing. The hours are terrible, especially at the Macy’s locations. Constant conference calls. Working in Licensed states is a terrible situation. Favoritism. The focus changes on a weekly basis and the owners clearly don’t know where they’re headed as a company.

Pros

No Big deal. A free eye exam and a free pair of overpriced glasses once a year. The usual stuff. The only other pro is you will have a job.

Cons

No company direction. Horrible company training. Managers are not leaders they are micromanaging everything. Most managers know very little about optics and focus on numbers with a fine tooth comb. Work environment is cut throat (associates and managers). Back stabbing and don’t expect your manager to back you up. You have to up-sell everyone even if they do not need all the expensive options = just do a comparison on varilux progressive lens and you will get a good idea of how expensive lenscrafters is compared to their competitors. Pay is very low. Example: You could easily wok in a clothing store as a associate and make $15 hour easy. Good luck making that at Lenscrafters. They change everything and do not test things. It will drive you crazy. The phone rings off the hook and never stops. The schedule is usually written wrong and given to you only one too three days in advance for the following week. Good luck getting a day off no one cares. They will cut your hours and you will not be able to pay your bills.
