Great benefits like free yearly pair of glasses and savings all year around. I have met the most incredible set of people working at multiple LensCrafters. Hard-working, caring, and dedicated people.

Cons

Low pay for such a stressful environment. Will be asked to travel to other stores due to lack of coverage because of the high turnover rates and crossed trained but pay won't increase.

So much to learn in the field and fulfilling while learning as a beginner. Can be fast paced and engaging. On-the-job learning for certifications. Payed compensations for certifications.

Cons

No room to grow or very difficult to advance inside or outside stores. Upper management usually prefers outside hires for management roles. Unclear job description with no compensation for extended duties.

Hire managers who know something about optical not just retail. Commend employees for their hard work. Pay people what they deserve. Hire security guards for stores that get robbed. Treat employees with respect. Be transparent about hours required to work there.
