Pros

My vacation benefits include 9 paid holidays, 4 weeks of vacation, 4 personal days, and 6 sick days. Vacation does not roll over but resets to 4 weeks every year. Standard match in 401k. 100% on first 3%, 50% on next 2%. Downside is match is annual aggregate paid the following February. ESPP is 5% discount on JPM stock. Bank hours 8-5. I have work life balance, sometimes it leans towards work more than I'd l like. I have flexibility to work from home, leave early, or get in late. The trade off is I get my work done. Annual bonus based on performance. ~$2k for Meets, $3k High Meets, $4k for Exceeds. Plus salary raise that matched the bonus. You do well you get paid well. Understand the game and learn to play it. When that happens then you get the raise. I perform well in my annual rating so I get paid well. I don't love my job but I like what I do. If you believe the grass is greener elsewhere remember the grass is greenest where you water it.

Cons

It is a corporation and one of the largest. The gripes you expect exist here also. Mangers are not qualified to do your job but dictate how you do it; under appreciation; placement of blame; lack of transparency; lack of direction; poor planning; reactive not proactive decision making and more. But like I said, its a corporation and I've see this at every position I have worked. I work for the Pros and the Cons are only an occupational hazard. You can't work this job without them. You learn adapt, overcome, or play to your advantage.

Pros

Good office environment and benefits with JP and facilities on site. Good technology for working from home if you get a chance to.

Cons

Where do I start! Stupid number of pointless meetings. Bosses that have catch ups to see how you are and try to make you feel valued but it's just because they know you will probably leave due to the chaotic workload. Promises of promotion as a carrot. Poor people management. Bosses don't seem to care at all. Always taking time off and elbow their workload to you. It's all about sucking up and being the in person to get on. Talent not recognised. Terrible department and structure. Doubt I will see a year here.

Pros

So far so good. I have been getting more than I had asked for- Be it quality of work , quantity of work, hike in percentage, appreciation/ recognition, Annual bonus or the annual remuneration. - Real Handsome Bonus - best in IB. Sometimes 40% of your annual pay. - Job security best in IB industry. - Chance to work on new Technologies. - Hard work is Recognized and Appreciated. - Transparent practices & policies. - Free transport. - Subsidized meal. Nice Cafeteria. - Lots of Internal opportunities. - High ethics, values, culture.

Cons

Haven't really found much in a span of a little more than 1 year. - Almost NO work/life balance. There is NO shortage of work. It takes a good while to figure out balancing your life and work unless you are a female employee. - Almost NO attention on FUN filled activities. Very less Project events/Outings. - No games in office. - Very less employee engagement
