Pros

A good entry to the financial industry. Can get a lot of knowledge of how a financial institutions is run. Can work with very talented people.

Cons

Too many politics. A lot of favoritism and if you cannot get into the inner circle made by the management, you should expect to be treated badly.

Pros

Under the right managers, you get a lot of responsibility. Very organized to their approach to solving problems, risk management and controls focused on application development and delivery. Close working relationship between Business and Technology

Cons

Career mobility is discussed, but options, in practice, are very poor. Would rather hire from outside then look internally. Very focused on containing costs to the point of removing people in NY/LONDON/HK so they can hire cheaper labor in India. Bonus is poor and below their competition.
