Toxic work environment in centers

Pros

One area free laser hair removal per year.

Cons

Compensation changes frequently with little or no notice, they will never give a commission statement to consultants even after a group of 15 requested a breakdown. You are labeled as "negative" or "unable to accept change " if you even question why your pay is different. They take a percentage out of your check for each sale based on finance charges but they wont reveal what the percentages are, consultants are told by company they can be required to work 7 days a week , 10 hour days without compensation, not allowed to leave the center, Leads are forced to act as center manager without being given authority to do anything which creates animosity with coworkers, consultants must pay bonuses to their team by splitting commissions with them, required to work outside of business hours without compensation doing community outreach, if you ask questions, you get fired, company wide emails sent about how you should feel lucky to have this job and you can be easily replaced. Treated like cattle. Forced to sign for compensation changes without being given time to seek counsel, or you are told you will be fired. Nothing good is every done for center employees. Look at the reviews, all positive reviews and photos are from corporate employees in Tampa, FL. Other reviews that have even an ounce of positive things to say come from brand new centers or brand new employees. Beware. No work/life balance.

Pros

Some of my colleagues were nice

Cons

A stressful, toxic culture where the rules, the pay structure, the responsibilities changed day to day. They were so short staffed on managers that toxic evil managers were allowed to hide shady behavior in plain sight. If there was an issue you had no one to raise it to, no voice, suggestions or process improvement suggestions fell on deaf ears, it was definitely a do your job and keep quiet. You always walk on egg shells, you are micromanaged to death and it's very easy and quite common to get on someone's bad side which created a lot of fear and turnover. The turnover was astonishing, many good people just could not handle the extremely poorly run sales team. The politics, gossip and bullying of the sales managers was unbearable and the corporate staff were unattainable completely. It was emotionally draining and abusive with no safe space to address that. Scheduling clients was a complete nightmare because the company can't staff the clinics, no one wants to work in that toxic culture either so we had constant refunds due to scheduling.

Pros

-Had a nice manager -Commission at first wasn’t hard - Completely Remote

Cons

This company has gone downhill. First off, the treatments have gotten so expensive, you’re lucky if you get anyone on the phone. Most of the leads have fake numbers, disc, etc. The “tiering” system is true. If you’re not performing to their standards, they stop giving you new leads & put you on “follow up”. All that does is stop you from succeeding. It all goes to the top performers, so basically not even giving you a chance. It has been impossible to make commission, then you get penalized for people not picking up, responding to emails, etc. The reviews are accurate. You can exhaust all your resources but at the end of the day; its a game of chance if you get leads to pick up, & sometimes even when you do; & introduce yourself they automatically hang up. Unless you’re willing to work more than 40 hours, it’s impossible to make commission here. You could be a good employee and do everything else, make your dials, have good attendance, etc & they will get rid of you at the flip of a coin. -BTW, forgot about the free treatments. Every year I filled out the form & and would never hear back. They prioritize customers first, but you won’t get your free treatments.
