Pros

Fully remote, inbound leads. Great benefits and PTO.

Cons

This isn’t really a sales role, this is glorified customer service. Scheduling people and you have little control over whether or not they buy. The role itself isn’t a problem, but advertising this and managing this role as if it’s sales doesn’t make sense. “Top” performers are working a lot of extra hours and even then the money isn’t great. Imagine being a top sales performer and not making $100k. They want sales people for a customer service job and they hire a ton of reps due to the high turnover. If you want to make a decent amount of money, not even good money, you have to work 10-12 hour days 6 days a week.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are always improving to provide the right work/life balance for all of our team members, and we appreciate your input and the opportunity that it affords us to continue to improve. Whilst each of our Associates are responsible for their unique efforts, positive outlook, perseverance, and dedication, not all individuals will be able to maintain the level of excellence and commitment that is necessary to maintain a level of satisfactory performance that is necessary to be successful at Ideal Image.

Pros

Work from home, occasional free treatments

Cons

Where do I begin? There is so much to be said. When I began working there three years ago, I was so hopeful. I was told that this was a 6 figure position and the manager I interviewed with told me that they were actually leaning toward getting rid of mid to low level performers who coasted by to make around 65k a year. Business was booming at that time. I felt BUSY and fulfilled during my work day. Fast forward to post pandemic and top performers are barely making what mid level performers made back in the day. I used to clear 5-7k per month minimum and when I quit I was barely making over 3k. This is due to mass hiring. There are over 200 reps and not enough quality leads to give anyone a fighting chance for the 6 figure salary that Ideal Image is boasting in their recent job posting. It is all lies and deception. Top performers only make a living wage, because they work 10-12 hour days repeatedly. If you do not like working extra, this is not the job for you. Toward the end of the month, some are even required to work 6 day work weeks. Mind you, this is not an hourly position, so there is no overtime. This company does not care about employees and is not transparent at all. Also, be warned that once you put in your notice to resign, you will not be paid out any PTO. Benefits here are not great either. Free treatments are few and far between.

Whilst each of our Associates are responsible for their unique efforts, positive outlook, perseverance, and dedication, not all individuals are able to maintain the level of excellence and commitment that is necessary to maintain a level of performance that is necessary to be successful at Ideal Image. One free treatment of each Ideal Image service per year 3. Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability 4. Medical, dental, and vision benefits 5. Pros

If you get lucky enough to reach the ridiculously high sales goals they set you can make a decent amount in commission. If not, you would make more working at McDonald’s with you hours worked vs the base pay you will receive.

Cons

-No work life balance, you are expected to stay from open until close (13 hours days) regardless of whether you even have consultations. -The promotions change every few days, so it always felt like you were ripping off the customer (one day is one price and the next it would be thousands of dollars more expensive) They trick every customer into getting their “first treatment” done like they are doing them a favor but really that is their way of locking them into their contract. -If you ever see a bunch of good reviews all in a row from around the same date it’s because we were forced to write them...for Glassdoor and Google to increase their star rating-they watched us to make sure we were writing positive things and giving 5 stars, and then we had to tell guests that we knew would give us 5 stars to write them for us -They work the nurses like dogs, they are forced to pack in every “first treatment” on top of their already packed schedule, have to go into their lunch or stay after to get all the treatments done. -The upper management is so far out of touch, they literally just throw something at the wall and see if it sticks. The amount of promotions, policies, things that change from day to day is unreal. -I wish I would have taken the reviews on here seriously, I really was excited to work here and wish my experience was different. People work here until it breaks them. They are losing really talented, hardworking people and it’s sad to see what this place does to people.
