Not ideal for PA or NPs

Pros

Loved working with my team. Clean environment (if you also help contribute to cleaning the facility). Job is a job.

Cons

Unrealistic scheduling and patient triage. Certain "guests" are NOT appropriate for treatment; yet to increase profits, they will take their money and let the providers deal with the unsuccessful and unrealistic results. No MA's to help facilitate flow. The provider has to treat pt, clean room and equipment, and take care of follow ups, which can go over your time. Questionable cleaning protocol for the gauges used on every patient.... Also, for PAs and NPs, they provide a lower salary purposefully and tell you the productivity bonuses from "add ons" will make your total salary more market competitive... In reality, this does not happen and you can get a different PA/NP job that pays a much higher salary. For all the education, time/resources spent becoming and advanced practitioner, I personally feel there is no reason why NPs and PAs should not be making a six figure salary. Also, I spoke with a recruiter who was very honest with me. She told me she was glad to see Ideal Image on my resume for only a short period of time. They said if I stayed there longer, other employers/recruiter's confidence in general medical knowledge and skills decreases (based on the whole "You don't use it, you lose it" mentality).

Started great, ended terribly

Pros

Initially, Ideal Image was a great place to work and for the consumer to purchase from. We were trustworthy and took pride in customer service and results our guests were receiving with laser hair removal, which initially was the only service we offered. In the beginning we cared deeply about our customers and worked extremely hard on building customer relationships. Once Bruce Fabel became CEO, customers were last, money was first. He exploited our customers and added services that DO NOT WORK. The pricing became so inflated that it became impossible for the every day person to afford, but we were to push until they bought. The company has lost it's foundation and he's fired everyone who pushed against his ideas. Ideal Image is now a one man show and sales are all that matter. There are still good people there, but they have no authority so nothing can be done. This is why the negative reviews are piling up so quickly now.

Cons

I left on good terms so in writing this I'm not an angry employee who is out to get revenge. I'm an angry woman for ever helping generate revenue for Bruce Fabel. He's an incredibly sexist and inappropriate CEO who abuses power and has turned Ideal Image into a complete mess. He picks up women in the Tampa Bay area by offering them jobs, which never actually come to fruition. Beyond sexism and abuse of authority, we have only lost money since the joining of Bruce Fabel. Any women who works for or purchases from this company should reconsider and think about what damage they're doing through their support of Ideal Image and Bruce Fabel.
