Pros

There are no pros to this company or this program. Anyone who is associated with this program should be ashamed of this conduct.

Cons

This review will echo a lot of what has been said about the LDP in other reviews so I urge anyone who is reading this with an interest in this program also read those. This recruitment process has taken most of my sanity. The HR department is non existent and the company does not care about investing in its future talent...4 months of near constant ghosting after receiving a "verbal offer" I received an automated email saying they cannot offer me employment. If that alone is not indicative of how they do not care about incoming talent, I do know what is. I get it, business needs change and Fintech/the industries that ION inhabits are rapidly shedding talent amid the markets changing. I would be willing to let ION have a pass on this...IF THEY HAD DECIDED TO COMMUNICATE ANY OF THIS. Instead they opted to ignore, ghost, and leave candidates in the dark. Never have I seen or experienced something so unprofessional and gutless. I will never do business with this company or any of its subsidiaries. To any other LDPers reading this and in the same boat, I sincerely hope you were able to find other employment because ION truly screwed over just about everyone in this LDP class.

Pros

As a former Fidessa employee, the original Fidessa employees that are still at ION are incredibly talented, smart and fun to work with day to day.

Cons

Once ION acquired Fidessa, slowly but surely they added on additional processes (which are overnight fire drill emergencies for ION senior management). Senior management will change their mind and update the process again shortly after and never even review it in the first place. They simply want uniformity and data without supporting applications, or human capital. Senior management feels everything can be resolved with a PowerPoint discussing future plans - but never focusing on resolving today’s actual issues. ION slowly chips away at what sanity you have left and then as colleagues leave no one is ever back filled (due to ION senior management never approving candidates, as they micromanage every task). You are forced to stay the course with an incredibly heavy workload and no potential for relief. This cycle repeats itself with every employee until they have a breaking point and resign.

Pros

great people and good products

Cons

as soon as ION took over it was a disaster. Culture was decimated, workforce cut and service was non existent. Stay away.
