Demoralised staff (what's left of them) Refusal to hire new people Hugely sub-inflationary "pay rises" for the last few years Only decent thing was the hybrid model allowing working from home. However, with typical ION timing, we received a lovely pre-Christmas gift saying that as of the New Year, we will all be expected to attend the office 5 days a week. This is the same office that they've 1) Sublet one floor 2) Removed all permanent stations, making them "hot desks" 3) Don't actually have enough room to accommodate all the staff 4) Expect devs and sales people to mix, meaning that you end up sitting next to someone on a shouty sales call while trying to debug a complex problem 5) No real lunch area to use 6) Stinks of garbage in the Summer as it's next to the City of London rubbish processing plant!!

ION acquire companies, strip away the culture and the bits that made it unique and successful, then fail to integrate them into the organisation. Employee morale disappears, then benefits and bonuses go, and eventually back-door redundancies start to take hold until there is next to nothing left from before the company was acquired.
