Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and Sick pay, several paid Holidays.

Cons

Everything is horrible here, the department I was in was terrible from the very top of management. No one here helps you, everyone is only out for themselves, they hire managers that have no experience in managing, lots of bullying here at my office. The building was disgusting, bathroom toilets were in horrible shape and gross. They ONLY care about pleasing Shareholders. Too many web meetings, conference calls, town hall meetings. It's a total joke.

Pros

No spoon feeding, that gives employees more things to learn. Nothing as such to highlight

Cons

This is my brutal honest opinion of Honeywell, who work in Aerospace domain Aerospace domain in Honeywell is much OUTDATED as compared to market. 1. For namesake its a product based company, most of the CORE development is done in US. The leftover work comes to INDIA. 2. Especially the people who work in Verification & Validation jobs, they are highly pressurized by the management (Nasty Micro Management Tracking which flows down from higher management). In return the engineers in ground level aren't recognized. Basically it lacks good leaders. 3. Least opportunities, given to work on emerging technologies for the current employees. 4. No employee satisfaction & facilities are provided. 5. Lot of organizational changes happens, in the sake of positions(Designations) for higher management people. 6. People who work in Madurai (Honeywell-Aerospace), the management screws the employees "Work-Life-Balance". Here they are forced to work on every Saturday & Sunday in office premises. 7. The Local Managers are cruel for other region employees, there is lot of biasing for localities. 8. The hiring process for freshers from local colleges around Madurai is very poor standard. 9. The employees who move from BLR or HYD offices to Madurai office for the purpose of higher positions, after 1-2 years of stay they comeback. 10. Madurai (Extreme Southern part of India), it makes difficult to connect other parts of India. (No proper communication) 11. They Should better shutdown the office in Madurai.

Pros

It is a consistent source of income. Nothing good to say about it beyond that.

Cons

In the interview they say you may have to put in more hours from time to time which is fine and expected, but after you're in they tell you they expect extra hours every week at least 10% that they'll never pay you for, even if you don't have the workload to justify it. No design work at all. They just purchase other people's products, throw them together and call it "engineering". Coming out of college you would expect experienced engineers to point you in the right direction, give you tasks so you can become familiar with the job, any kind of training or mentorship. They've done absolutely nothing to help me develop as an engineer. You can't just take initiative because you need to be brought in on projects and have authorization to do anything, but no one brings you in on anything because all they worry about is their own metrics and numbers. It's a complete waste of time for me to be here. I collect my check and continue searching for a job at any other company. The first three months I let it slide assuming they were just slow to bring new people in on projects. At a year in, I've gained literally nothing to show on my resume and management just keeps telling me "work is coming, as soon as the new programs get turned on". Don't waste your life at a company where engineers go to die.
