Constant change in management and staff. Lots of turnover in Marketing, ill defined role. Promotion critieria mystifying.

Pros

I get to travel around the world, planning extravaganzas for 10-20,000 people. I keep all my miles from flying, and corporate pays for business or first on all flights.

Cons

The office is very political. Your networking is valued much more than your work product. People play on relationships with each other, and are negative towards intelligent hard workers who might be laking in their social skills.

Pay and benefits are very competitive; good product discounts

Cons

Ridiculous hours, no work-life balance, upper management preaches "work smarter, not harder" - middle management says "just work more", a lot of favoritism shown be the department head, people seem to get promoted based on how well they are liked, not by their performance
