Pros

Hourly wage , plenty of clients waiting for you no need to have a following. Excellent training and continued education. Flexible schedule, productivity bonuses and products sales incentives paid vacation and some paid holidays. Vision,medical, dental, life insurance and Aflac. Company is very good to us

Pros

Salon is self and location staff was excellent and very supportive. Then bent over backwards to help me pull myself out of homelessness and overlooked my tardiness as it was very difficult to get to work let alone get ready for work. when you slept in a park the night before.

Cons

As I was just pulling myself out of homelessness and the same day was given a tool to make working longer shifts possible. Corp. came in and fired me for being late while my GM was out due to a sudden family loss. also we were presented with the oppertunity to make more per hour based upon our productivity and sales. Very easy for me to do seeing as I'm not afraid of work and I'm great at achieving goals in the work place. If you do you meat this goal for every day scheduled for the entire two week pay period, you lose your extra $3 per hour. Random rainy Mondays in a state like Michigan make this impossible and unfair.

Pros

Decent tips, not all customers are angry about the long wait times but most are.

Cons

You get no more than a 30 minute break otherwise you will be written up even if your working a 10 hour shift! If your full time like I was they’ll schedule you for 10 hour days where you’re on your feet the whole day and it’s very repetitive doing haircut after haircut. They look at your haircut times, in between customer time, and your repeat customer percentage which is extremely hard to keep up with when they expect 12-17 minute haircuts which is not enough time when your doing women’s hair. The online checkin system is too hard for 50% of clients to do and you’ll get at least 5 complaints a day about the wait time. Customers can be very rude about how they don’t use the online check in or say they checked in hours ago and still aren’t up next. There never fails to be confusion with the app about how to request someone, this company purposely makes it hard for you to build up your clients since you can’t request any stylist on the app or see when they’re working. Stylists don’t have a set schedule so we are told to tell the client to call the store to see when we work next, the phone is always ringing and no one can answer it because there’s no receptionist.
