Pros

You get a lot of hours and the salon stays very busy. Good tips usually. Paid training.

Cons

Shortage in staff so long hours, up to 30 haircuts in one day. Always looking at your numbers (haircut time, products sales, number of customers serviced, time you take in between customers). Not good benefits, such as health insurance and 401K. Not paid enough for the work that was being done as an Assistant Manager (ordering, making schedules, inventory, cutting, and practically always being on call)

Pros

Great work enviroment, happy to cut hair the way the customer wanted there hair. Educated with be ucmj on hair regulations.

Cons

I have a lot of business knowledge,,and product knowledge and of cource I am egger to learn. Unfortunatley my manager wasn't mature.

Pros

Great clientele already built in for you. Very high traffic salon structured more like a barber shop, great tips especially during the holiday season

Cons

over-worked and underpaid, no set schedules...ever, this is against company policy so that every customer is a great clips customer rather than each stylist's customer ( they want clients to feel comfy with anyone not just you, so that in the event you leave the client won't follow you) if you have a family, especially small kids, do not do it!!! your schedule will be all over the place! if you're fresh out of school or between jobs this is a nice stepping stone, but it is not advised as a career move.
