My experience has been challenging, educational, but very rewarding.
Pros
For myself, some of the best reasons for working at Great Clips have to be that they are franchises, which allows the salon to be run by the manager who normally has more experience of and in the business of hair as well as customer service. I have to say it is also one of the best companies I have worked for in regards to their 5 step system, and most of what they believe in, and teach, although some things are good in theory, but not always logical in reality, but for the most part a great company to work for. Great Clip truly knows what a customer wants, and tries their best to require a system that would deliver the same great quality of service each and every time to the customer from each and every stylist. There is great opportunities for advancement in positions, from stylist to assistant, from assistant to managers, and even corporate positions some times available.
Cons
I believe one of the biggest down falls of working at Great Clips has to be the inability to some sore of a fixed schedule. It makes it very difficult to have a life out side the salon as well as the ability to find works with full flexibility. I certainly understand why this is important, but it does sometimes make things a little more difficult.
