Pros

I have work for Great Clips for 7 years and I absolutly love it. It's always busy, hours are nice. I love the clients and the money you can make. My favorite job for sure.

Cons

Work holidays, work weekends, have to get shift covered when sick.

Pros

Really dependent on the salon owners, some are good and some are bad. If your store is busy you will make a lot in tips. Part time employees were treated better in my experience. If you are looking to work all the time they always had hours. They pay hourly so you could always depend on checks as long as you were working similar hours.

Cons

Really dependant on the store owners. My company, Winds Aloft, used to be good but as minimum wage kept going up the owners didn't keep up with it. We would get small raises and you would have to fight if you thought you deserved more. Found out other owners were offering significantly higher wages when people I would interview would turn the job offer down because they were offered more at another store. If you were full time they wouldn't think twice about adding you on a 6th day of work. They treated us like we didn't have families and lives outside of work. I didn't mind the extra hours but it started to take a toll on my body when it started happening every week because we are always on our feet.
