Honestly there is nothing good I have to say about this place. I just need to fill up 20 words worth.

Cons

Be prepared for cheap clients who will tip you $1. Be prepared for 9-9 shifts and to leave with $25 in your pocket. Be prepared for franchisees to take over your life with meaningless tasks. Be prepared to wake up and dread going to work. Don't lower your value and have someone tell you they are going to charge $4.99 for your haircuts. In beauty school we charged more then that. Clients going there do not care about how well you cut they care about a cheap fast hair cut and they will tip that way. Regardless of your skill and how beautiful you may cut 99% of great clips clients will tip you $1-$2. Paid minimum wage and sucky tips. It is not worth how much you will be slaving away. Because it is always busy you will resent clients and question yourself on your career choice. You will be working your tail off for nothing and it gets old real quick.

Great pay! Great stylists! No book needed! As long as you find a great manager and franchisee to work for no other salon will compare!

Cons

A lot of franchisees don't pay well but if you do your research you will find a salon that fits you and pays well! I've worked for three locations myself and found the franchisees of "folk design group" to be by far the best! So with that being said if you like the idea of specializing in haircuts along with the expectations set forth with this company but feel under paid or under appreciated do your research find a store that fits your needs don't give up!

Pros

One of the busiest salons around!! Top 3 store for the region! Staff all work wonderfully together! No caddyness! Stre has an amazing manager who has been with the company for over 10years! Every hair stylist has been doing hair for years. Most the staff has been there for years (no new faces every time you walk in!).

Cons

Great clips seems to get a bad name for only being a hair cutting salon but it's what they specialize in! I'd sure want a cut from someone who cuts 100 haircuts a week over someone who only cuts 20!
