Pros

1. They do multiple stuffs to encourage team work. 2. Decent salary for a single person.

Cons

1. Very little or NO exposure to actual business and you will be shielded. Management jumps inside for all meetings even if they have no idea what it is and the actual engineer is always left out. Business inefficiency due to ego. 2. Management is self-centered and force subordinates into unethical practices such as over charging customers with bigger bills. 3. Management lacks understanding of business. The kind of job being done are small tasks and are generally assigned to a single person. For some odd reason management insist on team work and no one knows how. 4. Close tie between HR and management. So when a manager harasses you, there is no where to go. 5. New opportunities are never even made known to existing employees and are not asked if they are even interested. Managers pocket them most of the time.

Pros

Generous pension (really an additional savings plan) for those who will remain there for over 3 years, school benefit pays past IRS cap if you can get it approved and it's a job.

Cons

Company is not doing well financially, has been unable to pay bonuses for two years and does not look like they will pay bonuses again next year. Company has expensive health insurance deductibles, monthly premiums and does not give you money towards your HSA. Company employs multiple older systems and processes and has very little interest in updating to more modern technology.

Pros

Great people, good pay, good benefits

Cons

Limited advancement potential. Flowserve is a manufacturer of heavy industrial equipment - over time layoffs have been more frequent. The company is doing the right thing for shareholders by pushing towards moving to low cost regions for manufacturing and engineering, but that leaves those working in USA plants in a not-so-great position. As a result of drive towards globalization, advancement opportunities continue to diminish. Flowserve is currently taking opportunity in market downturn in oil and gas to really speed up plans to eliminate USA jobs and move to low cost regions.
