Pros

One of the greatest companies in the PNW. Great work life balance. Amazingly pationate and talented people. At the grass roots through senior management there is great care for the individual

Cons

Certain technology executives like set their own deadlines for large initiatives without understanding what it will take to complete. At times can lead to a death march on their pet projects. There also is a reasonable large gap between execs (not management) and the grass roots level - they don't understand/see what the day to day is like.

Pros

Good location, diverse environment with a variety of different technologies and back bone systems, and if you get in the right group a good manager you will look out for you. There's still a flicker of the spirit that really attracted me to the company there and some folks who see you as more then an output machine.

Cons

There's way too much work and no long term strategy other then to react to what ever is the hot button issue of the day. No time is taken to go back and learn from mistakes, there's a lot of incompetent folks in leadership who all are pushing to advance and pull their friends along. Some of the recent history doesn't make me trust the leadership. A lot of antiquated technologies that are hanging by a thread. Too many things are done/bought because one person wants it, and then they move on and leave the bag that is on fire for someone else to deal with.
