Pros

There is so much to learn at Expedia. For anyone interested in the E-Commerce industry, this is a great company to start with. You can learn so much.

Cons

The benefits are great but salary could be higher. Not 100% sure if it is comparable with other businesses.

Pros

Developers are the best in the world. On the business side of the house people are brilliant. The Technology organization is wasting the shareholders money with inflated titling, poor management, inappropriate promotions and lack of clear vision. A classic example is taking a truly technical resource and making them a manage.r now you have a technical gap and a junior leader which really means that there is a need for two jobs to be filled (tech and manager) which will not happen because those heads are filled with the wrong people in the wrong place.

Cons

The bottom line is that Expedia has an under qualified CTO wasting cycles and abusing capital. People spend more time trying to stay employed than producing. the entire platform is built on the MS stack and the CTO is wasting time with aesthetics vs. bring the business into the 2010 world of web technology.
